At River Bend Bakery we believe in loving what you do, and we love creating amazing gourmet foods.
We’re an owner operated family business located in Kenner, Louisiana (approx 20 minutes outside of New Orleans).
As Louisiana natives, Hurricane Katrina reminded us that life is short, and unpredictable. So we decided there was no better time to “go for it” and build our dream. With much support from our family and friends we were finally open for business in January 2007.
We enjoy the creative process of producing a better version of food favorites. Many wonderful whole ingredients are incorporated into our foods like real butter and fresh eggs. We take pride in our products and are happy to be generous with the “good stuff” like chocolate morsels, dried fruit, pure extracts, and freshly toasted nuts. All of our sweet creations are made in small batches, just like at home.
What makes us different? You’ll taste the difference because we’re truly a small batch bakery. Our pralines, candies, biscotti…everything is made by us from scratch. We don’t use premade mixes or doughs. We never “recook” our pralines like some of the large praline companies. We even crack our own eggs and hand cut our biscotti. The only thing we don’t make is our locally roasted coffee which we believe makes the best cup of coffee in town.
